Uses
Tobias Stucco® can be used for a variety of interiors from wall finishes to stone facades and architectural details. Tobias Stucco® works wonders on a variety of surfaces. Its cake-batter consistency makes installation a breeze for the professional craftsman. Designers, specifiers, drywall contractors, Venetian plaster and stucco installers have enjoyed the beautiful results they’ve achieved with Tobias Stucco®. Tobias Stucco® has been used in private residences, restaurants, hotels, spas, hair salons, retail stores, showrooms, on movie sets, television commercial sets, and as a base for painted murals.

Fireplace

  • Working fireplace. Concrete structure. Upper hood constructed of sheet rock. Second application of sheet rock was applied to the hood to create depressed panels. Wooden molding is used to trim around the panels. The medallion is made of composition. Mantle constructed of pressboard, trimmed out with wooden moldings. Three coats of white pigment primer was applied. Three coats of Tobias Stucco® was applied over the entire fireplace. Grout lines were created in the appropriate areas. The surface was sanded to soften the edges for an authentic stone look and stained to create variations. Deft lacquer semigloss spray used as a sealer. Pomegranate Tobias Stucco® on walls.




Archway

  • Square column under the archway is constructed with press board and wooden moldings. The leaf and berry appliqué in the arch are made of foam core and cork. Arch is trimmed with wooden molding. Keystone is built up press board. Use construction adhesive to apply all elements. Prime the entire arch with white pigment primer and cover with 3 coats of natural Tobias Stucco®. Sand and stain ( if desired ). Use trowel and bristle brush.





The Doorway

  • Press board was cut into desired lengths and applied with construction adhesive 1/8 inch apart to create grout line look to frame the doorway. Adhere 1/2 inch and 1 inch wooden half rounds on either side of the press board. Prime the entire doorway frame with white pigment primer and cover with 3 coats of natural Tobias Stucco®. Sand and stain ( if desired ). Use trowel and bristle brush. Walls covered in apple Tobias Stucco®. Umbria finish.




The Fountain

  • Use press board for the back of the fountain. Use a skill saw 1/8 inch deep to create a tile pattern and cover with white pigment primer and two coats of natural Tobias Stucco®, stained to create a random pattern. The arched border is trimmed with flex molding at the top and wooden moldings on the sides. The keystone is built up with wood and has a decorative composition ornament. Prime and cover with 3 coats of natural Tobias Stucco® then sand. Use trowel and bristle brush.



Kitchen Hood

  • Use sheetrock or plywood to construct the hood frame. Install vents and lights.
    Create the facade with wooden moldings and press board cut into lengths. Apply to frame with construction adhesive about 1/8 inch apart to create the look of grout lines. Prime the entire surface with white pigment primer and cover with 3 coats of natural Tobias Stucco®. Sand and stain ( if desired ). Use trowel and bristle brush.


Wall Accent

  • Walls are Umbria Tobias Stucco® finish. Ceiling moldings are wood or plastic.
    Corner pilaster is made of press board cut into desired lengths and applied to the walls with construction adhesive about an 1/8 inch apart to create the look of grout lines. Prime all of the moldings and the pilaster with white pigment primer and cover with 3 coats of natural Tobias Stucco®. Sand and stain ( if desired ). Use trowel and bristle brush.
